Life is strange
Life is strange with Dad retiring. None of us quite know what to expect or what happens next. To be fair it’s going to take us a few days to get straight from Christmas, but then we don’t really know what happens next. In some ways things will continue as normal, but in other ways everything is different. Pebbles will still go to training. I will still go to hydrotherapy. I guess what changes is that we have two humans to run round after us. Mum says that today is a catch up day. Tomorrow will be about taking down Christmas decorations too.
Railway
We should get the permission for the shed that Mum and Dad want to use to build their model railway later this week. I guess that will be what happens next. Pebbles and I will have to supervise the installation of the shed later this month if all goes to plan. Sadly, it’s going where I thought we were putting a dog play park. Now I’m going to have to choose another location for that which is very annoying. Maybe we should just put it where Pebbles has her pen now.
Friday
Pebbles will be spending Friday at the vet. She’s going in to have a full examination of her glands – to find out why they are swollen. Poor Pebbles will have to be sedated so that the vet can do the investigation. It’s hard for the vet to do what is needed when Pebbles doesn’t stop moving. How on earth Mum will get here to do what is needed that day when she can’t give Pebbles any food to entice her is anybody’s guess. It could be a very difficult day. I shall just keep my paws crossed that everything goes ok.
