More builders
I know it’s Sunday, but we have more builders. Builder if I’m being precise as there’s only one. You cannot believe how upset Mum is. On the one paw of course she wants the work finished, but she had promised us a morning in the garden with her. We have been restricted all week on what we could do, so today Mum said we could be outdoors together while she got on with some gardening. I think the man is only working this morning, but the forecast is rain for this afternoon so I don’t think that helps. Mum reassured us they will only be here another week, so we just have to be patient – but that is not my strength and it certainly isn’t Pebbles’.
Planning for Crufts
Mum sat down with me and Pebbles and said she’d like to go to Crufts this year, even if only for a day. She wanted to know if we minded. I thought she wanted us to go with her. I was just in the process of trying to word my reply carefully, so she knew that I would if I could but I really thought it would be too stressful for me. Then I realised she was actually asking if we’d mind going to kennels for a day so she could go without us. I breathed a sigh of relief. Pebbles wasn’t so happy. She has never been to Crufts and from the things I have told her, thought it sounded a great time. Unfortunately her tendency to bounce off the walls, and flip out completely at the least opportunity, would not work in such a busy and unpredictable environment.
Anyway, I said kennels would be fine. Thankfully, Pebbles is completely incapable of sulking, which has its upsides.
