What a good girl

What a good girl Pebbles was yesterday. Mum came home from training saying it was the best training session they have had so far. Of course, Pebbles jumped up and head butted Mum on four occasions, but you can’t have everything. Apart from that, she did well walking on a loose lead, not letting herself be distracted by other dogs and even managed some recalls.

Mum said what had impressed her most was that between exercises, Pebbles sat quietly between Mum’s feet, while Mum gave her some fuss. None of us has ever sat quietly between training exercises. On one occasion I was even made to stand in the centre of the group for behaving badly. I was only barking, but apparently that wasn’t ok.

Slightly spoilt

Pebbles’ good behaviour was very slightly spoilt by biting Mum’s trouser leg when she was cutting the grass later on. Mum was a little fed up with her for it. Pebbles was given the choice of playing in her pen or going indoors. She chose the pen, and ran up and down as Mum mowed.

Then things all got a bit worrying. Mum could hear running water and when she followed the noise, there was water coming out of a manhole next door. They are down the hill from us, so although there was a smell in our garden we didn’t have a problem. Mum went round to make sure they knew and the woman was on the phone to the water company at that moment.

We seem to have had a lot of problems recently, with electricity and water. I forgot to tell you that the freezer wasn’t just about the door. We need an engineer for that too – which is very upsetting as it’s the one that our Kongs are stored in.

Love and licks
