Our little acrobat
Well Pebbles really is our little acrobat. Mum has joked for ages that she should be going to circus performance classes rather than obedience, but yesterday she moved on to gymnastics. Pebbles’ favourite time in the whole day is between 8pm and 8.30pm. Every evening, Mum sits with her in the big cuddle chair so they can have a nice cuddle. If Pebbles is cooperative, Mum also reads. Reading involves holding the book in one hand, including turning the pages as Pebbles insists on being stroked for the entire 30 minutes.
A little excitement
When they first sit down, Pebbles is so excited that she simply can’t contain herself. She throws herself all over the place in the chair, bruising Mum and spilling any drinks – Mum has given up on the drinks. Pebbles just wants to get as close as she can to Mum and show how much she loves her. Mum is thinking of investing in full body armour.
Yesterday, whilst wriggling around, Pebbles actually did a headstand. Quite literally, a headstand. Then after a second or two she did a full forward roll along the chair onto the footstool, shook herself and then threw herself back at Mum. Mum was stunned in more ways than one.
Photo shoot
Mum needs us to do a photo shoot with her in the next day or two so that we have some pictures for the Club competition. I’m thinking we should see if Pebbles would do some of her gymnastics on request and hold the positions long enough for Mum to capture them on film. It’s always hard taking pictures of Pebbles as she hates to stay still in any position. I’d offer to do it, but I’m just not agile enough these days.
