Normal service
Normal service has been resumed. At least normal if you can regard the effects of the current weather as normal. The courgettes are the size of marrows. But the squash in the main vegetable bed are feeling the effect of the lack of rain. Whilst the duck house has beached at a very precarious angle due to the pond evaporating. Mum is concerned about the pond as last time it went that low, Pebbles started to remove the pond liner. I must say that the grass does not feel nice and soft under paw either.
Things aren’t exactly normal in the house either. There are cobwebs where there should never be cobwebs. It’s not a good time for Mum with not liking spiders. She’s offered them all an amnesty. Basically, they have twenty-four hours to move out before she takes emergency action to evict them.
Catching up
Mum says it’s going to be a week of catching up. I’m not sure that I have all that much to catch up with, but it seems Mum does. Mind you, on the bright side we should get some outdoor time as the forecast is good but not too hot. At some point I really need to get Pebbles started on the diary. Maybe I could do that with her tomorrow after she’s been to her training class. For one thing, she’s a little calmer after training, but it’s also a time she might have something interesting to say. I guess so far we’ve mostly had Mum’s view on how training is going. It might be good to hear it direct from Pebbles.
Dad has a better approach. He’s not planning to catch up. He’s off for a flight in a small aircraft around some of the coast of England. I asked if I could go as it sounded fun, but sadly they don’t take dogs. It’s a shame really.
