Hoppig

Finally, we’ve heard from Hoppig. He sent us a picture to show that he’s travelling home and will be with us shortly. I’m a little concerned that he doesn’t look like he’s wearing a seat belt, but he assured us he was stationary when the picture was taken. He’d just stopped at a service station to get a cup of coffee.

I had a word with Mum too. The thing is, I’ve been worrying about my birthday walk. What do we do if my back goes while we’re out? I hate thinking like that, but I have to be realistic. We didn’t see it coming the other week when it went, so it’s not an easy one to predict. If that were to happen when we couldn’t get me back in the car then we’d have all sorts of problems.

Change of plan

Dad came up with a suggestion that will work. It won’t be as exciting, but it will be safer. We’ll go for a walk down the lane opposite our house. It’s possible to go quite a long way without really meeting anyone and there’s virtually no traffic. If anything goes wrong, which of course we hope it doesn’t, Dad would come home for the car and Mum would wait with me until he could get to me. It’s definitely the safest option even if it isn’t one my favourite places.

I’m having my monthly Librela injection tomorrow, so at least I’ll be feeling my best for the week ahead.

Where to start?

Now we just need to decide where to start with the gardening jobs. Mum has assumed it would be grass cutting, but she’d have to find some grass first. The grass is not in a good way. I guess weeding the vegetables will be first, but then maybe it’s time to repair the shed roof. That one has been on the list for a long time.

Love and licks
