Gold standard
This really is the gold standard of kennels. I’ll be honest, I’d forgotten just how good it is. The kennel is called Derrings and it’s only a mile or so from where we used to live in North Yorkshire. This stay has reminded me how much I wish Mum could always bring us here when we need to stay. It is such a shame it is so far from where we live now.
Pebbles brought Sloth with her as she always needs Sloth when she’s worried. As it turns out, Pebbles says she might be able to come without Sloth as she likes it here too. It’s been the first time she’s stayed.
Daily schedule
When I arrived I was asked what times I’d like my medication each day, to make sure they are suitably spaced. I have four walks a day, which is as much as any dog needs and even enough for Pebbles to feels as calm as she can do. I was almost expecting to find they’d installed call buttons, so I could have room service when I wanted something. Maybe I should suggest that for the future.
Now we have a few hours to enjoy before Mum and Dad come to pick us up this afternoon. I’d prefer not to have the long drive home, but there’s not much we can do about that.
At least when we get back Mum has agreed that the first job is to move my crate. She has already put the rug down ready for where it will stand. The only downside is that Mum has said she’s going to be washing my bedding and that’s never good. It’s always the same. We work hard to build up a dirt layer and then humans come along and wash it all away.
