In love with Pebbles
I think Dad is in love with Pebbles – and I’m a little bit jealous. I thought I was his special girl, but he keeps cuddling Pebbles. When I asked him about it he said he thought she needed it more than I do. Apparently Pebbles gives the impression of needing the security of knowing that she is loved and is always safe. Whatever gives the impression that I don’t need exactly the same? Every dog needs to feel they have that, and I’m no exception.
We are staying in kennels for the weekend and when we arrived yesterday Dad was very insistent that he should say goodbye to Pebbles. To be fair, he did give me a cuddle as well, but she seemed to be his priority.
Travelling
Pebbles did not make for a good travelling companion yesterday. We had to stop while Mum went to the dentist. Pebbles was feeling anxious because she didn’t know what was going on. You may find this hard to believe, given we were in crates in the boot of the car, but Pebbles was tap dancing. She was moving about so much that the whole car was rocking. Mum asked her to stop, but she refused. She was only settled when the car started moving again.
It’s the first time Pebbles has stayed at this kennels. It’s my favourite as it’s close to where we used to live. They know me here. I do hope they know what they’re in for with Pebbles staying. It can be a bit of a shock to the system if you don’t know her. Pebbles has brought Sloth with her to keep her calm so hopefully she’ll be ok. I really don’t want a needy puppy to have to look after for the weekend.
