Bronze is off
It’s my own fault, but bronze is off. I’m not allowed to wear my muzzle for the exam, but Mum was starting to feel a little more confident that just maybe I could get through safely without it, until yesterday. Mum came in from the garden with muddy boots and bent down to change them while she was in my room. She doesn’t normally do that. I don’t know why, but that seemed like a perfectly good trigger to me. I launched myself at her and grab bit her arm.

Oh you should have hear her swear at me. I was shocked. To be fair, she pointed out that she had also been rather shocked. On the bright side, I didn’t break the skin, but I did bruise her arm. I might have slightly ripped a hole in her sweatshirt too. The upshot is that Mum says for the time being I’m not ready to do my exam without a muzzle – just in case.
Lovely walk
The irony was that after that we went for a lovely walk. Even I thought it was lovely. Mum only gave me treats when I was good at sitting by the side of the road when a tractor and a couple of cars went by, the rest of the time when I got fed up a word or two of encouragement were enough. Mum asked why I can’t be like that all the time. The honest answer is that I have no idea at all. I can see it would be much better for everyone, but that’s easier said than done.
Dad’s in charge
This morning Mum has gone out without me. Yes, I know that’s shocking. It means that Dad is in charge. I shall probably sit in Mum’s office in the bed I’ve got there. From there, I can check that Dad hasn’t forgotten me every so often, but will do that from a comfortable location. I don’t have a bed in his office… Yet!
