Off to the vet – Saturday

Off to the vet

Well I’m off to the vet this morning. I came in from the garden yesterday and Mum noticed how very pale my gums were. On the one paw, if I’m anaemic and it’s something simple then it might fix a whole load of my other symptoms. On the other paw, I did have simple blood tests relatively recently and they didn’t reveal anything. That may mean that the vet has to look a little further to find out what the cause is. I’m not dehydrated. Mum makes sure I get plenty to drink. It won’t be my usual vet, being as it’s Saturday, but hopefully it will be someone I can get on well with.

Village Fete

Mum is hoping to go to our village fete for a while this afternoon. We’re not going with her. We’ll stay at home and keep Dad company, presuming he arrives home as planned. He’s likely to be asleep, but we’ll watch over him until he wakes up. Actually, I’ll watch over him. If I let Pebbles in the bedroom he won’t stand any chance of being asleep.

Mum wants to enter one of her roses in the competition. She hasn’t decided which one yet as it will depend on which looks best when it’s time to go. Knowing Mum she will set off from here with a beautiful rose, but by the time she arrives at the fete it won’t look quite so good. I’ve got my paws crossed for her. I shall also be reminding her that it’s not the winning but the taking part that counts.

Trampoline

Mum has bought a trampoline. She has said it is not for us, but I think she may have to keep it out of Pebbles view. Pebbles is under the impression that everything is for her. It’s only a little trampoline and apparently it’s good for exercise – although frankly I’ll take some convincing.

Love and licks
