Captive audience
Sometimes Pebbles and I find ourselves being a captive audience. Humans can be strange creatures – something I know I’ve said before. Our humans are currently both practicing monologues. They have agreed to be part of the entertainment on Saturday for the home where our human grandma is. Mum got roped in and then Dad, not wanting to be left out, volunteered. It’s fair enough listening to them once when they have finished rehearsing, but the same thing every day – including the bloopers – is a bit much. I suggested doing a recording of the bloopers but I’ve been forbidden from that one. At least after Saturday that one will be over. Mind you, as Mum is also practicing for a talk she’s giving in a couple of weeks, we will still have to put up with that.
Repairs
Then there’s the railway room, which is more a repair shop at the moment. Mum and Dad have been getting out the things they have to use for scenery. Most of what they have is many years old – in some cases more than sixty years. Much of it has been dropped at some point and certainly suffered from multiple house moves. There is a game of snap going on with all the pieces, trying to fit the right roof panel back on the right station building. I am barking encouragement from a distance and showing surprise if they manage to find all the parts of any one building. It’s a good job this isn’t how real railways are run – or maybe they are run like this and that’s their problem!

Indoor day
Today looks like being an indoor paw twiddling sort of day – at least for me. It’s forecast to be wet and windy, so I’m returning to hibernation mode until the sun comes out.
Love and licks
