Birthday Photos
I thought you’d like to see some birthday photos. Overall, I had a lovely day. Unfortunately, there was no steak, which was a bit of an oversight on Mum’s part. There was ice cream. I know it’s not that good for me, but just once in a while it won’t do me too much harm.
The day began with some time out in the garden. It was a bit early for photos, so I stuck my tongue out at Mum when she took it. Then we went out for a walk. Dad came too, which was lovely. One car passed us, but we didn’t see any other people or any dogs, so it was pretty much perfect. My back was fine, but the arthritis in my legs meant that I didn’t really want to go too far. Unfortunately, I forget to say we should turn round and I struggled a bit on the way home, coming back up the hill.
Snuggles
After that I was ready for a good sleep. Mum went to see Granny and then came home to get my lunch. Unfortunately Mum got stuck in a traffic jam, but it was ok because Dad took over. He got my lunch and sat outside with me while I had another mooch around. There was more breeze yesterday so it was comfortable being outside.
After that, Mum sat on our big chair with me so I could have a proper snuggle and a sleep next to her. I would have stayed there all afternoon, but Mum had cooking to do for today, so I snoozed on the kitchen floor and helped clear up as required.
It wasn’t an exciting day, but it was a lovely day and frankly at my age that is what you really want. I’ll leave excitement for the kids.
