Relaxing day

I had a relaxing day yesterday after the rigours of my medical appointment. Thankfully the weather was nice, so Mum and I spent some time outside in the garden. Neither one of us felt like doing a great deal. Mum did a little bit of mowing, but it’s going to take a lot more than that to get on top of things.

We’ve put so many plans on hold because of my back. It was nice to spend a little bit of time with Mum starting to make plans again. Obviously they will all depend on my surgery being successful, but I’ve got my paws crossed. My first priority is to get my puppy. Mum is being sensible and saying she won’t even look until we know I’m on the road to recovery. I said it would give me something to look forward to, but I guess she’s right.

Going to the airport

Dad seems to like going to the airport a little too much. He went on Monday night, only to find that his flight wasn’t until Tuesday. Unfortunately the airport staff didn’t point out his error when he first arrived, but let him wait in departures to board his flight. It was only when he tried to get on that they spotted the error and he came home. Of course we were pleased to see him, but he was a bit fed up. Then he went again yesterday for his actual flight.

I was hoping he might come home again, but this time he seems to have gone away as planned. Now I need to save up all my excitement until he comes home. Then I can let it all out in one go.

In the meantime, Mum and I will just look after each other and stay out of the way of the building work. It seems to be going on forever.
