The cat who lives next door
The cat who lives next door is not being fair. If he is going to sit right outside our front door at 6.30am when I go out first time in the day, I should not be blamed for barking. Mum got very cross with me and even made me come back inside the house without peeing. She said that until I calmed down I was not going back outside. I nearly peed right there on the hall carpet to prove a point, but it would only have got me into more trouble. You would think that next door’s cat would be happy with his own garden, but for some reason he prefers ours. I think he does it just to wind me up – and it’s working.
My operation
My consultant rang me yesterday to say that everything is going to plan for my operation. They have done some 3D modelling of my back from my CT scan and made the parts they need to insert between the bones. They even have all the measurements of exactly where the pins need to go to hold the plate in place and the depth of bone they have to drill into. To be honest I was feeling a little queasy as he was talking about it, but I guess I won’t know what’s going on when they do it.
I have to check in at midday on 11th June so that I can be ready for the operation first thing on the 12th. Mum is dreading taking me and leaving me there, but it’s only for a few days, so I think she’ll be all right. I’ll miss her too of course, but there’s nothing we can do about that.
It really is a good job I have excellent pet insurance as the operation is very expensive. All you dogs out there should check to make sure your humans have you properly covered. It’s worth it.
