Mum knows me well – Wednesday 7th August 2024

Mum knows me well

It shouldn’t surprise me that Mum knows me well. She’s lived with me long enough. She wasn’t the least bit surprised when I was up in the night on Tuesday being sick. Apparently, she knew that the first thing I would do with my freedom in the garden was to go round eating everything I shouldn’t have and then make myself poorly. Ok, so she was right. She’s asked me ever so nicely if I could refrain from that behaviour, but she knows I’m not likely to. It has been so long since I’ve been able to eat everything from pigeon poo to sticks, fox poo to apples, cat poo to… you may notice a bit of a theme here!

Longer walks

I’ve started my longer walks and I’m enjoying them. We only went out locally yesterday, but went further than we have been going. It was so peaceful – once I’d stopped barking. Today I have to go for day care as Mum has to go to an appointment that she can’t take me to. I don’t do that very often so I can’t really complain. It does mean my walks further afield are postponed by a day. If thing go to plan we’re doing the whole circuit of my favourite forest walk in the next couple of days. I am so looking forward to it.

Sleeping arrangements

Now I don’t have to stay in my crate, I’m really making the most of the bed Mum made for me. It is very comfortable as it’s one of those memory foam mattresses. I’m a bit spoilt, I know that, but I’m worth it. After I’d been sick I was feeling a bit sorry for myself and took myself off to my crate of my own accord, but I left the door open so that Mum knew she could just call for me if she wanted me.

Love

Wilma
