Vets – Thursday 12th December 2024

Vets

It seems to be all about vets at the moment. This morning I have to go to see the vet here in Switzerland to have my passport stamped for going home. It will be nice to see her, especially as she always gives me a treat. We have also booked for me to see the vet when I get home about the pain I’ve been getting in my back left leg. Mum says I can’t ignore it anymore and really need to be honest with the vet about the problems I’ve been having.

Then there’s Pebbles. We’ve booked her first vet visit too. I said as she’s my puppy I should be the one to take her. Mum said as I behave badly on our vet visits then I absolutely will not be going with them. Mum wants Pebbles’ view of the world to be uncoloured by my jaundiced view. I suppose she’s right. Mum will take her the day after she comes to live with us next week – without my help.

Yesterday

We walked by the lake again yesterday. My mountain was very cold and covered in cloud. We did go up to have a look but Mum said we’d have a better time down by the lake. I think she’s hoping for the weather to be better today so we can have a walk up there before we leave.

Mum said there was a museum she wanted to go to about the history of Switzerland. I said I’d be happy to give that a miss, but asked if she could find somewhere warm to park. There was an underground car park next to the museum so I happily snoozed while Mum went to look round. What she hadn’t told me was that she was going to a restaurant too, so I did feel a bit peeved that I’d missed out on that part of the day. I don’t suppose I’d have been allowed to eat anything there, so I guess I didn’t miss much.

I’m meeting Valeria and Megan later for a walk and then it will be time to pack the car. I’m off to see my sister Tosca tomorrow and then start the journey home.

Love

Wilma
