The Obstacle Race – Monday 17th March 2025

The Obstacle Race

Pebbles actually won the Obstacle Race. Mum and Dad couldn’t believe it. Pebbles came home very excited and promptly fell asleep.

She didn’t do so well in the other games, but she did throw herself into every one of them. Actually, from what Mum said, she threw herself into everyone and everything, but no one seemed to mind.

New friends

What was most exciting for Pebbles was making some new friends. Vixen is a few months older than Pebbles, but the two of them got on really well. Pebbles has asked if there is any chance of them having a play date together, but Vixen lives in London so it won’t be that easy. She really enjoyed seeing her brother Eiger. He loves a little nearer, so Mum has said she would love to see if they can find a secure dog field for a good romp together.

Learning some manners

Mum was really pleased with how Pebbles got on. She said it was a great opportunity for her to learn some manners with other dogs. One or two didn’t appreciate a puppy launching themselves in their direction, but when that happened they were very fair in the way they put Pebbles in her place. Pebbles seemed to be learning and it was a great way for her to start doing that. I’m wondering when she’ll learn some manners where I’m concerned.

Unfortunately, Betty, Pebbles Mum has come into season, so couldn’t be there. Her half-sister Ada was there but Pebbles was more excited to see their housemate Ingrid the Bernese Mountain Dog, than Ada. Mum said that Ingrid is very loveable, so she could see the attraction.

I had a quiet afternoon at home. I’d been a bit sick both the previous evening and in the morning, so I was glad to just have some peace. To be honest, I’m getting a bit fed up with my health at the moment.

Love and woofs
