Growing up

Pebbles is growing up. Yesterday, Dad went to watch her training. Whether it was because he was there, or because the sunshine was shining, we don’t know – but Pebbles did really well. Mum was actually proud of her. Ok, so she still has as a good a recall as a paper plate. However, every other exercise she threw herself into and enjoyed doing. She learned some new moves – round and other for going round a bollard or other obstacle either clockwise or anti-clockwise. Best of all was that for the first time she understood what she was supposed to do in a stay. She didn’t stay for very long, but Mum thought her progress was momentous.

Long years of experience have taught Mum that it won’t all be plain sailing and there will still be bad weeks ahead, but it’s a start.

Café

After that Pebbles went to the café with Mum and Dad. Pebbles had been there once before but that was when she was tiny and was in the carrier on Mum’s knee. This was her first time sitting on the floor by their feet like an adult dog. She did really well. I’m not saying she sat entirely still or that she was completely silent, but she behaved nicely and certainly didn’t do anything for Mum and Dad to be embarrassed by. It’s almost as though she’s suddenly ready to join the adult world.

For the record – I still don’t want anything to do with her, but that might start to improve if her manners toward me improve.

Dog field

Mum has asked if I want to go to the dog field with them today, but I’ve declined. I want to get my eyes sorted and feel more myself before I let myself in for being bounced on again.

Love and woofs
