Naughty and nice
Pebbles is still ‘Miss Naughty and Nice’. Mum wonders if we’re heading into the ‘terrible twos’ dog equivalent, but then Pebbles does everything asked of her and Mum fears that stage is yet to come. She was in a very bitey overexcited mood yesterday morning and Mum said that while she was behaving like that she was not going for a walk. Mum gave her lots of indoor exercises to channel her energy and a good run around outside. It worked and Pebbles was more settled.
At the dog field
They went to the dog field at lunchtime yesterday. It was a beautiful sunny day so Mum wore a hat. Pebbles hadn’t seen Mum in a hat before and thought trying to steal it was a great game. To begin with at the field Mum could get no sense out of Pebbles at all. So she sat at the picnic table in the middle of the field, enjoying the view and having a cuddle with Pebbles instead.
Strangely after that, Pebbles did some of her best work. Mum said there was a small chance she actually did a couple of recalls, although it may just have been a coincidence that she was coming back then anyway. What wasn’t a coincidence was her heelwork off lead. On lead she’s a nightmare, but off lead she stayed close to Mum’s heel and turned left and right with her as requested. The rest of us were never so obliging at five months old.
Crazy mix
Overall, Pebbles is a crazy mix of being way behind Mum’s expectations and being massively ahead of what any of the rest of us would do. Mum can even get her to weave in and out of her legs as she walks. I may need to up my game!
Love and woofs
