Pebbles can jump
Well it turns out that Pebbles can jump. Mum doesn’t think she jumps quite as high as I used to at that age, but Pebbles proved her jumping capabilities are still going to be a problem. Mum had been out for a short time yesterday and Pebbles was fed up about it. When Mum came home, she put Pebbles in her pen with her tea, so she could come and feed me. Pebbles was having none of it, so for the first time she cleared the side of the pen. It means now that rather than getting more freedom, which is what she wanted, she will actually get less. For safety she will have to use the big crate in my room when Mum needs her contained. Pebbles will not be happy!
Progress in the garden
Mum and I are making some progress in the garden. Pebbles is digging her own holes in parallel to what we’re doing, while Mum digs holes to plant things in. I just supervise. Mum has now moved all the plants that were rescued as part of the building work into permanent homes in the garden. They may not all like their new locations, but at least they’ll look nice from now until the point they have died. The main problem is that some areas of our garden can get very wet, and a lot of plants don’t like that.
Now we need to put some more of the compost into the vegetable troughs and get on with planting the veg. Before that, I have to supervise Mum laying a path around the veg beds and repairing the greenhouse. Pebbles says she’s just going to carry on digging holes as she enjoys that.
Off to the dog field
Pebbles is off to the dog field with Mum again today. They are going twice a week on top of Pebbles official training session, to work on training exercises. Pebbles loves going there – but then she loves doing everything. Mum always comes home tired out, which I’m sure is the wrong way round.
Love and woofs
