Getting together
Mum tried having me getting together with Pebbles in the garden last night. Pebbles was on her lead. Mum had cheese. You wouldn’t think much could go wrong. Unfortunately, it was all my fault. If I had gone along with the plan it would have been fine. ‘The Plan’ was for me to do my own thing, sniff around as normal and Pebbles just be there but have Mum use the treats to keep her disinterested in what I was doing. Alas, I got wind of the cheese. How is a Swiss girl supposed to resist the smell of Emmenthal? It meant I got in the way of Pebbles. Pebbles jumped all over me. In the end, Mum had to throw the cheese to the side so it was me rather than Pebbles who went after the cheese, while she took Pebbles indoors. Massive fail on my part.
Plan B
It might work better without the cheese and with Pebbles off lead. Problem 1 – Pebbles still hasn’t got the hang of recall and we have a big garden. Problem 2 – the pond. 3 – If we end up in a compromised position, Mum will have no immediate way to separate us.
We’re going to have to come back to Plan B. I think we may have another meeting on neutral ground – the dog field, but with both Mum and Dad on hand to help. I’m not keen, but I do see the current situation has to change.
Mum still has no idea where the pond fits in when we come back to Plan B!
Off to the vet
We’re both off to the vet today. Me for my eyes and Pebbles for what seems to be a skin tag under her arm which has grown over the last couple of days. I hope there’s something that can be done about my eyes as it’s all getting a bit much. Pebbles has a trip to the dog field too, so overall it will be a busy day.
Love and woofs
