All change
It seems to be all change at the moment. Mum has changed my food again. I didn’t like the one I was on and just wasn’t that bothered about eating it. Because Mum had bought the size for large puppies, the pieces were bigger and I didn’t want to eat as much as that. I didn’t think much of the taste either. Anyway, because I was leaving at least one meal Mum said we’d take the opportunity to reduce to three meals a day but go to a food I might like more. I’m back on the Canagan’s chicken flavour at the moment, but I chose the salmon as the one I’d like to move onto instead and it should come tomorrow.
It means meals are easier for Mum to remember as Wilma and I now have our meals at the same time. Then I have a bedtime biscuit so I don’t get the nibbles in the night.
Different training
Mum is never happy. Just because I’ve learnt to come running when she shouts ‘fish’ she thinks that means I can overcome some of my other ‘issues’ – her word, not mine. Why I can’t bite the lead and use it to play tug I don’t know, but apparently that is not all right. Mum is trying to teach me not to react when she handles the lead. That involves a lot of her picking it up whilst I have to do something else. Thankfully the something else seems to involve finding a treat on the floor, so it’s not a bad deal so far. I don’t think that’s all there is to it, but it’s the only part I’ve done so far.
Vito’s game
I’ve also been learning to play Vito’s game. You can see what it’s all about HERE. Basically, it’s supposed to teach me to think for myself. It’s pretty cool as I get LOADS of treats and Mum is using all different ones so I never know which I’m going to get next. We’re going to play it again later and I must admit I’m quite looking forward to it.
I have my main dog training before that, so we’ll see how that goes. Mum might be taking some fish, so it could be fun.
