Wildlife

I’m quite a fan of wildlife in the garden, but probably not in the same way as Mum all the time. I am including next door’s cat in with wildlife. For some reason I think one of next door’s cats has a death wish. He keeps sitting in my garden. Actually, maybe he’s the smart one and he usually does it when I’m inside and just leaves scent that drives me wild. I have to follow it all around the garden until I run out at the fence. I have contemplated scaling the fence to get to him, but Mum says I’m not allowed to do that under any circumstance.

We aren’t in total agreement about me chasing the pigeons and other garden birds either.

Greenhouse

This is a wildlife area that we are in more agreement. Something must have got stuck in the greenhouse on Tuesday night and tried to chew its way out. Before that it had got into some of the bird seed and had scattered plant pots everywhere. Mum says if it’s mice I’m to leave them alone, but if it’s anything bigger then if I want to catch it that will be fine. What she isn’t happy about is my moving everything else in the greenhouse to look for whatever it is.

Mind you, if it chews its way in or out too many times there isn’t going to be a greenhouse to worry about. Mum already has a list of repairs still to do and it’s getting longer.

Leave no stone unturned

In searching for wildlife I’m leaving no stone unturned. Actually, I’m leaving no stone in its original location at all. I leave a lot of them in the middle of the grass, which Mum is not happy about as they get in her way when mowing.
