Zoom call
Yesterday I had a Zoom call with some lovely prospective dog owners. I haven’t done a meet and greet for ages, and it’s always nice to talk about the breed. With not really being well, I did ask Mum if it would be better for Pebbles to do it, but Mum just laughed. The chances of Pebbles staying still long enough to stay on camera are very slim. Given that Pebbles spent most of yesterday running round like a crazy thing, I can see Mum’s point.
Nice walk
In the morning, Mum had quite a nice walk with Pebbles. That in itself is quite remarkable. Pebbles likes to bite her lead and then gets overexcited. Mum has a new way to feal with it and some of the time it’s working well. She stands on the lead and Pebbles has to lie down. Mum just stands there for however long it takes for Pebbles to calm down. Then they carry on. It means a walk can take quite a long while, but on some occasions it is working well. Mum is just hoping those occasions increase, as Pebbles is proving hard work.
Training class
I’m waiting to see how Mum and Pebbles get on at their training class today. They have been working quite hard since last week. Mum has also gone armed with both liver and fish. I think Mum is prepared to go to any lengths in order to get Pebbles to the point where they progress to the next class. Still being in the beginners is mortifying. Besides that, Pebbles really is a bit big and boisterous for some of the new young puppies she gets to work with. I keep telling Mum it will all come right in the end, but I don’t think she’s entirely convinced yet.
