Outdoor life
An outdoor life is the one for us. We simply love being outdoors. Fortunately, Mum is totally ok with that idea and has agreed to spend her week working outside as much as possible. We have a wonderful bamboo bar, with a table and comfortable seating for Mum and a lovely deck for us. It means we can mooch off round the garden whenever it suits us, and Mum can work on the computer. Our wifi just about stretches outside, so it works quite well. Having said that, Mum has promised to spend quite a bit of the week gardening with us, which suits me rather well. She’s going to remember to wear her gardening gloves this week as she got an infected finger last week.
Vantage point
Because the bar is slightly higher than most of the garden, it gives Mum a good vantage point to see what Pebbles is up to. Some of the time that means her calling Pebbles to leave what it was she was doing – mostly eating the garden! Sometimes, Mum puts Pebbles in her big run for safety, but then she just digs the garden up instead.
Not that I’m Miss Perfect. I’m looking for any opportunity to rub my eye. Mum says if I’m going to sit outside then I have to stay with her and not just wander about the garden. She knows me too well!
Meeting Ziggy
It was lovely meeting Ziggy yesterday when he came to do his breeding tests. If only I were a younger dog, I could certainly have fallen for him. As it is, he’s young enough to be my great-grandson or maybe even another great in there, if we’d all had litters at the earliest opportunity. He’s a very handsome boy and has a lovely calm temperament – he might suite Pebbles if she ever grows up and stands any chance of passing her own tests. Mum says she’s got plenty of time for all that – which frankly is a good job!
