Seeing my brother
There’s nothing nicer than seeing my brother if I have to be in kennels. Mum and Dad went to a concert, which really isn’t our thing. I’m not a great music fan. The odd howl is ok, but not much else. Instead Pebbles and I had a night away at kennels. I was able to see my half-brother, who just happened to be there at the same time and Pebbles was able to play with his housemate, my niece. It actually made it worth having time away from home for the pleasure of seeing them.
Cutting it fine
Mind you, it nearly didn’t happen. Dad was supposed to get home from America on Friday morning, so he would be in plenty of time. His plane was cancelled and so he didn’t get back until lunchtime on Saturday. It was all a bit touch and go as he hadn’t had any sleep, but Mum said they had a great time and everything worked out fine in the end. She did find it all a bit too peopley, but then it doesn’t take much for her to think that. She’s much happier with time with us than with humans.
My old harness
Pebbles is going to try on my old harness to see if it is a better fit for her than her current one. More to the point, Mum wants her to try it so that she has one it is harder for her to get out of. So far she’s said she doesn’t like Mum putting it over her head, so we have some work to do. Her old one clips at the neck so is easy. She’ll get the hang of it in time, but for now she’s finding it strange. I suspect a few treats will soon sort that out.
