First Ice Cream
Yesterday, Pebbles had her first ice cream. Just for the record, I didn’t have one. It’s a long story, but Mum had a pack of four ice creams and no freezer to put them in. Dad couldn’t eat all of them before they melted, so Pebbles asked if she could try one. She chose the caramel – which is Mum’s favourite too. Mum didn’t mind as she didn’t want one. Pebbles was so delicate eating it – not like me at all. With me and ice cream is gone in just a couple of gulps and licks. Pebbles gently licked the surface and made it last. She had a very big smile on her face when she’d finished.

The rabbits ears didn’t last as long as the ice cream. Now, of the two I’d choose ice cream every time, but Pebbles says her first choice would be the rabbit ears. Maybe that’s why she’s so slim!
Family and friends
Pebbles is out and about meeting family and friends with Mum at the moment. To be fair, she counts every dog she meets as a new friend. It reminds me of what I was like when I was young. Having said that, Mum said I was never quite the extrovert that Pebbles is. I was always happy to meet other dogs, but respectful of their distance and didn’t assume they would want to be pounced on.
Pebbles will be meeting her Dad for the first time on Saturday. I really don’t know what he’s going to make of her. He is a lovely calm boy from all I know and he may be surprised to have sired such an excitable daughter. It’s hard not to love her, but a small amount of Pebbles can go an awfully long way.
