Cone Free
I’m cone free. Mum is happy that my eyes are much better than they were and I’ve promised not to rub them. I cannot tell you how good it feels. To be honest, I’ve lost count of how many weeks I’ve had to wear that cone for. It’s been long enough that I’ve almost totally destroyed it. Mum said that if I need it again she’s going to buy me a new one – now isn’t that something to look forward to?

Outdoor appointment
I also had a vet appointment yesterday for my monthly arthritis injection. Mum took me in to check in and weigh me, then we waited outside. For the record, to my surprise and Mum’s, my weight is down to 24.2kg. I cannot remember when I was last that weight. Anyway, there I was waiting outside when the vet came out with a needle in her hand. She said as all the consulting rooms for busy I could have my injection outside if I’d like to. Well I was happy. That was far less stressful than having to go back through the waiting room full of dogs.
Lemon balm
Well I was warned. Someone did tell me that lemon balm takes over. Mum and I have planted herbs around the patio wall to discourage the flies. It was all Aristotle’s plan, but sadly he wasn’t around to put it into practice. The lemon balm is going completely mad. Now we need to take measures to contain it. Mum says we need to pinch out the tops of the growth, but I think it may need more than that – not that I know much about it. Anyway, if you need some lemon balm I suspect we have some to spare – but you’ll probably want to plant it where it can be easily contained.
