Poorly sick
Pebbles has been a poorly sick dog since Saturday. Mum is quite convinced it is something she’s eaten. And, as she eats everything she finds, it’s hardly a surprise. However, it is the first time she’s been ill and it has come as a bit of a surprise to Pebbles. Mum doesn’t think she needs to go to the vet, but she is monitoring things.

It started Saturday night and Mum sat up with Pebbles until she was sure she’d stopped being sick. Pebbles was really sweet about it. Mum was going to sit up for as long as it took, but at quarter past ten Pebbles said she wasn’t feeling so bad and asked if she could go to bed. Mum set the baby monitor in case she was needed, but Pebbles slept through.
Not to be left out
Not to be left out, I was a little but sick overnight on Saturday. Mine was definitely something I’d picked up in the garden and I wasn’t really ill. I just needed to get rid of it. Mum wasn’t best pleased with me and I could understand why. I should know better.
Sunday started ok for Pebbles, but then she was sick again just after lunch. Mum has put her on a gentle diet until she sorts herself out. That would be ok, if Pebbles didn’t try to eat extra things in the garden – including bees. Yes you did read that right,
Catching bees
Mum put Pebbles into her big pen for ‘safety’. She thought that Pebbles would have less inappropriate things to eat there. However, within minutes she realised Pebbles was trying to eat the bee that was on the clover on the grass. Later, when Pebbles was a little bit sick, Mum found she had actually been successful in swallowing a bee. This is not something we want to have happen. Not ever!
Today Mum has set her first job as cutting the grass inside the pen Pebbles plays in and cutting it very short. She wants to totally get rid of the clover and anything else the bees are attracted to.
Now I’ve just got my paws crossed that Pebbles will get back to normal this morning and if she doesn’t it will be a vet visit for her.
