Lovely day
I had a lovely day with Dad yesterday while he was working. It was harder for Pebbles with Mum not around. Dad did make sure he spent some time with Pebbles too, but with the weather being bad in the morning she couldn’t be outside all day. She made up for it in the afternoon, but enjoying the sunshine and having a big cuddle with Mum.
Mum has promised that she doesn’t have to go out at all today, so we will spend all day with her. I know she’s hoping to do some work with Pebbles to help her get used to the lead again. Then they can go out for walks. Because she hasn’t really been on lead for the last couple of weeks or so, Pebbles has become very bad at wanting to jump up and bite it all the time. That doesn’t make walking easy.
Recovery day
Mum is having a recovery day too, having had a tooth out yesterday. She has to have food that is cold and doesn’t really need chewing today. I helped her make some soup yesterday. I thought if I helped then she might offer me any she doesn’t want. A dog can dream.
Mum said that worrying about going to the dentist was worse than the actual time there. I[‘m just glad I don’t have to keep going to the dentist. It doesn’t sound much fun to me at all. My sister Valeria had to have some teeth out recently. She said that it was because she kept chewing sticks and getting them in her gums. On that basis, I guess it’s something Pebbles will be able to look forward to in the future. Mum has always been very strict with me, but Pebbles just doesn’t listen.
