Under the settee

It’s always interesting to see what you can find under the settee. To be fair, the same is true of the fridge freezer in the kitchen. It’s why a dog should always be on paw to help their humans with the spring cleaning. I have explained this to pebbles, but she’s never patient enough to stick around. She was too busy making a thousand pieces out of a plastic ball.

Anyway, back to the settee and yesterday’s yield included several dog treats and half a large chew. I thought if I went for the treats first I could come back to the chew, but sadly I was thwarted and Mum retrieved the chew and put it away for later. It was quite a misjudgement on my part as the treats were rather stale.

Pigeons

Why do pigeons always choose stupid places to nest? We seem to have a pair on a ledge under the hedge by the back door. Pebbles sits and watches them from a couple of feet distance. She does give them a sporting chance and only seems to watch when they are in the hedge. It’s when they sit on the path just round the corner from the shed that she decides to give chase. Mum says it’s only a matter of time before Pebbles is having pigeon for tea. The last time she caught one she only got a few feathers before Mum intervened.

Early walk

Pebbles is on an early walk this morning as it’s forecast to get quite warm. She says she’s starting to really enjoy going out and yesterday went quite a bit further. Today I think she will go the full length of the quiet local walk. After that Mum will see how she does with going out on different longer walks or more walks in a day. The local longer walk would involve walking along the side of the road for a while and Pebbles doesn’t think she feels ready to cope with that.
