How much excitement – Friday 29th August 2025

How much excitement?

How much excitement can one puppy show about a couple of days in kennels? Mum brought us in yesterday. I’m happy to be here and greeted the girl who met us affectionately. I really like her. Mum said I was a model dog. I didn’t bark. I just made it very clear I was pleased to see her and happy for a short stop away from home.

Mum brought my bags in and we went through my current medication regime. Thankfully, it’s not quite as bad as it was but it still takes a bit of explaining.

Then Pebbles came in

Then Mum got Pebbles out of the car. Pebbles had been very excited before she got into the car, so getting out was like trying to grab an exploding missile for Mum. She managed to attach one end of Pebbles lead, but there was no hope of the other end or anything like good control over where Pebbles was going. Fortunately, she was intent on coming into kennels and promptly wrapped herself around the girl meeting us, doing several loops with the lead.

I just shook my head sadly. Mum left us to it as I watched the poor girl trying to untangle herself from Pebbles’ clutches

At this rate it could be a long couple of days, for the kennel staff if not for us!

Happy birthday, Mum

Today is Mum’s birthday. I’ll ring her later. Oddly she said that she was looking forward to a lie in as we aren’t there to demand our breakfast. I always thought she liked us waking her up early. I might take the chance for a bit of day in bed myself. At least Pebbles has her own room so she won’t be bouncing on me.

Love and licks
