Time with my sister

Yesterday was all about spending time with my sister, Valeria. She wanted to take us around the town she has moved to with her human and show us where she is now living. We wandered around the cobbled streets, taking in all the city smells. I don’t know how you can live somewhere that has so many lovely smelling restaurants without drooling all the time – or in my case crying. I really like the place, it has a good vibe to it. Everywhere is very clean too, so you don’t have to think to carefully about where you’re treading.

Road between the valleys
The drive from where we are staying to where Valeria lives was interesting. She is in the next valley to where we are. The road we took didn’t go around, but went straight over. When I say ‘straight’ I mean in a very windy sort of way and with quite a drop at the side of the road. Mum wasn’t all that keen and said we’d come back the longer way, around the main roads.
The best bit was that meant we drove past a Qualipet and I was able to remind Mum to buy my vanilla and malt biscuits. It was very sad when I ran out of them a couple of weeks before we came away, so asked Mum to stock up to prevent us running out again.
Exciting Day
Now I have a very exciting day ahead as I’m taking part in one of the big parades. When the cows come down off the mountains in the winter they get dressed up with their big bells and lots of flowers and parade through the town. This parade is in the Entlebuch valley at a place called Schüpfheim. Anway, we are ‘Entlebucher Sennenhund’. That is to say we are the cattle dogs from the Entlebuch region. Consequently, we get to accompany the cows. I know I don’t live here, but I am Swiss by birth and I am a member of the Swiss Entlebucher Club, so I’m taking part. I feel very honoured.
