Lethargic – Sunday 9th November 2025

Lethargic

For some reason we all seemed a bit lethargic yesterday – except Mum. Mum seemed to be bouncing off the walls, which was very annoying given how both Pebbles and I were feeling. Thankfully, Mum wore herself out pretty quickly, so came down to our level. I just wanted to sleep. If Pebbles had walked any slower on her walk she would have gone backwards. Mum wonders if Pebbles is growing, or hormonal. I wonder if she’s just trying a day of being normal. It did mean when Mum came to try out a dance routine with Pebbles, they didn’t get very far. Of course that wasn’t helped by the fact that if Mum turns round a couple of times she gets dizzy, so it’s a bad idea in the first place.

Gardening

I helped with some hedge cutting yesterday. I wasn’t keen, but Mum said I needed more time outside and I may as well be helpful. Pebbles tends to be a bit of a hazard when Mum is using machinery, so isn’t allowed to help with things like that. It’s only recently Mum has even risked Pebbles being around when she’s using secateurs. It may be me helping again today too as I think Mum may be using a saw and that is definitely not a good idea with Pebbles helping.

I might leave Mum to it and help Dad with the apples instead. You have never seen as many apples as seem to be on the ground in the orchard. There is no way I’m going to be able to eat even a fraction of that number. I will give it a good go, but now I think about it, that may have been how I came to be feeling so lethargic yesterday.

Love and licks
