Glowing Report – Saturday 29th November 2025

Glowing report

When Mum picked us up yesterday, one of the kennel staff gave Mum a glowing report about how much better Pebbles is doing. Of course that would have been more convincing if Pebbles hadn’t just body slammed Mum in her excitement at seeing her and then launched herself at two dogs who were just arriving and who weren’t that thrilled. I guess 24kg of happy puppy throwing herself at you is a bit much for either humans or dogs to take. Mum then wrestled Pebbles into the car, with some difficulty before we started the drive home. This is the improved Pebbles! She was so glad to be home that the chaos continued for a while before she started to come down a little from her high.

Pebbles’ coat

When Pebbles lost a lot of coat and ended up looking threadbare, Mum, as you know, was concerned. Well, I’m pleased to say that most of her coats has now grown back and is wonderfully thick and lustrous. There is just one tiny problem. On the back of Pebbles’ neck instead of being our usual black, it is more a sort of sable colour. Mum says it is because her. Undercoat has come through thickly and in a much lighter colour. Whatever the reason, it is certainly not standard. Mum says she’s not worried anymore and thinks everything will even out the next time Pebbles moults and changes into her spring coat. Either way, Mum loves her just the way she is.

Rain Warning

We’re back on another weather warning for rain. Honestly, even I’m starting to find it depressing. We might have had a drought in the summer, but we’re going to have a lot of flooding this winter the way things are going. We’ve had two and a half months of rain in the last month as it is and the pond is already full again.
