A day to curl up
Yesterday was a day to curl up. Never mind ‘Blue Monday’ or whatever it was supposed to be, ours was ‘Grey Wednesday’. The day didn’t really get light and none of us really wanted to get up. Frustratingly we were expecting an oil delivery ‘first thing’, so all had to be up early and having done our business before 7.30am. That was because Mum needed to leave the side gate open for the oil delivery. Frustratingly, it didn’t come at 7.30am or at any other time in the morning. We all felt slightly out of sorts from our schedule being interfered with. Mind you, Mum said we may as well get used to it as we have builders here again from Friday to put in the room outside that is going to be for our model railway.
Mum has promised they will only be here for two weeks, but that’s an awful lot of getting up early that I don’t really need.
Calendar
Dad said all the lovely pictures we’re coming up with, like the one of me gardening, should go to make up a calendar for next year. I said I’d think about it. It’s fun putting them together, but they don’t always come out right. In one of them the software has given me a human hand. What would I want with that instead of my lovely paw?
Whatever else – this one captures Pebbles’ personality perfectly.

It does make me wonder what Alfie would have made of it all. It’s funny to think the possibility of doing this just wasn’t around in his day. We’ve been thinking about him an awful lot recently and if you join me tomorrow you’ll understand why. Tomorrow is a very important occasion – can you guess why?
Love and licks
