Wild Thing

There’s a song that Mum plays sometimes called ‘Wild Thing’ by the Troggs. Mum says it could have been written for Pebbles. She loves Pebbles – we all do, but boy, can she be a wild thing? Wet and windy weather is enough excuse for her to get over excited. Her ears only have to flap in the breeze before she’s sky high. When Mum took her for a walk yesterday, there was Mum fed up and cold. There was Pebbles bouncing off everything – including Mum. It doesn’t help that Pebbles won’t let Mum wear a coat. I guess she would get used to it eventually, but she doesn’t cope with anything being different – coat – no, hat – no, gloves – you get the picture. Mind you, have you ever tried handling dog treats while wearing thick gloves? Mum can’t wait for spring.

Building progress

The room for the railway already has a steel frame, walls, and a roof. It’s like a giant version of the models Dad is building for the railway. All the pieces seem to arrive already cut to size and the men building it know how it all fits together. There’s some fencing going up this morning so we can’t get to it, but we had a good nose around last night after the men had gone. At least the fencing will stop Pebbles deliberately pooing around there. Mum is having to go out early to clean up before the men start.

Price Rise

Mum went to collect one of my eye drops yesterday. One bottle of drops last month cost £134. She was shocked yesterday when they said it was now £161. On the one paw, it’s a very good job that I have insurance. On the other paw that is a ridiculous increase. Mum can’t find anywhere that she can buy it direct. She’s asked me to stand very still when she’s putting them in my eye, so that we never waste a single drop.

Love and licks
