Pebbles is here
Well, Pebbles is here. She is quite noisy – lovely, but noisy. She would like full time entertainment and honestly I’m finding that exhausting. Was I ever like that? Mum says Pebbles reminds her of me when I was little, but I can’t see it.

We picked her up late yesterday morning. She and I said hello to each other and then settled down for the journey home. Pebbles, woke up about a quarter of an hour from home, so I talked to her gently and reassured her we were nearly there. When we arrived home we both went into the back garden to have a proper sniff of each other and for Pebbles to pee.
Play, sleep, repeat
I had forgotten just what it’s like being a puppy. Play, sleep, repeat. Pebbles goes out for a pee break as soon as she wakes up. Then wants to be entertained and play for a while. If no one wants to play with her, even for five minutes, she can make quite a lot of noise calling for attention. Anyway, once she’s had a good play she flops down and has a nap for an hour and then we start again.

Outside it was a bit more complicated. I am not her mother. I do not have any milk. The sooner Pebbles understands that the better it is going to be for both of us. Mind you, Mum says the biggest problem is actually when Pebbles is in her pen. She goes there so she can eat her food without my help and to have a bit of a nap. She doesn’t appreciate it and so cries. That has the effect of totally winding me up and getting me excited – and it spirals. Mum says we make a lot of noise.

It’s going to take a few days to sort things out. Oh, she wants my bed instead of her crate for nighttime. We’re talking about that one!

Oh my God! Pebbles is such a beautiful bundle of joy, arriving just in time for Christmas to cheer and invigorate everyone! Bless you, little Pebbles, and may you and ‘big sister/ momma’ Wilma share a great time together of cuddles, playfulness and joy. I am sure Wilma will teach Pebbles a few tricks along the way and share her wisdom…
I think she’ll be teaching me tricks the way it’s going!
Happy Christmas
