Pebbles has a plan

Pebbles has a plan. In an ideal world, there would be somewhere near us where Pebbles could enroll to learn to play Treibball. It’s a game which uses very big balls to mimic herding. I’ve had a go and it is great fun. Pebbles has the big exercise balls that Mum used with me. They were taken away from her when she was younger because she was trying to use them as a trampoline to get out of the pen in the garden. Now, she doesn’t need to be in the pen so much, but she can’t have the big balls loose in the garden as she runs straight down the hill into the rose garden.

There are two problems with that. Pebbles is concerned that she will burst her balls and not be able to play anymore. Mum is concerned that she will break all the rose bushes and run the garden

Now Pebbles has had an idea.

Fencing

Treibball would not only be great exercise for Pebbles but would help her to engage her mind while doing something she really loves. She has had a look at the garden and thinks that if Mum could put a barrier across the bottom of the orchard then she’d be able to keep the balls contained to that end of the garden where she can do much less harm. Now she is seeing if she’s saved enough pocket money to buy some pasture fence post and some plastic netting. As long as Pebbles doesn’t just run into the netting and break it, I can see it might work.

She has asked me to help her measure the width of the orchard to see how much she needs. I might need Mum to help with the tape measure.

Love and licks
