Cuddles and cheese
You know you’ve been missed when you’re greeted with cuddles and cheese. To be honest, I think the cheese was mainly to buy time with Pebbles, before she got too excited, but I’m not complaining. There is a supermarket near where we were staying and Mum went there immediately before collecting us. Mum even managed to find some Emmental so all was well.
When we got home we could have as many cuddles as we could possibly want, but perhaps not as much cheese.

Getting back to normal
It will take us a few days to get back to normal. It always does. Except, Mum has said now is probably as good a time as any for Pebbles and me having another go at getting along. We are going to try in the more controlled environment of indoors. Mum’s theory is that Pebbles will be a little less crazy in the house. She is just so deluded. I’ve asked Dad to be on paw so I can hide behind him. He’s bigger than Mum and makes a better shield. Frankly, I think a week apart from Pebbles has left Mum seeing her through rose-tinted spectacles. Give her a day or two and she’ll remember some of the pain of reality. Just wait for the new bruises to kick in and we’ll be back to normal.
Overgrown
The garden is somewhat overgrown, which is of course not the plan. However, to us that’s good news as it will mean loads and loads of time outdoors trying to get it back under control. That’s also easier with it being light later. Happy days – summer is on the way. The best bit for me is having the back door open so I can come in and out as I please. I like that.
