Feeling old
I’ve been feeling old the last few days. I don’t think it’s just the heat. My hearing isn’t want it used to be and for that matter I think I may have some vision problems too. Yesterday, Mum had a friend visiting. She gave be a frozen Kong so that I’d feel settled, but then I went to join them. I was feeling oddly a little insecure so climbed up and sat on Mum’s knee. She was very good. Fortunately she was on the chair that has a foot rest, so she put that out to give me more space and make me comfortable.
Hot hot hot
At one point, we all went outside. Now, bear in mind it was 30 degrees outside, for reasons I cannot explain I decided to simply sit in full sun, staring into space. Mum came out to me from the railway room and led me back indoors. She explained it really wasn’t safe for me to be sitting there. The problem then was that Mum went back outside and I sat in the kitchen and wailed because I wanted to be with her.
Pebbles
Whilst I’m slightly losing the plot, Pebbles is being a good girl. She loves being around Dad and they keep having little ‘love-ins’. When they are both quiet the chances are they are having a cuddle in his office. She’s off to training again this morning so we’ll see how she gets on. Mum says that Pebbles hasn’t slept very well for the last couple of nights, so it may be she won’t concentrate as well as last week. I guess Pebbles will be ready to tell you all about it tomorrow.
I’m rather looking forward to my day off. The forecast is rain. I wonder if Mum will let me sit outside in that.
