Negotiations
I’ve entered into negotiations to have my crate moved. I used to like having it tucked out of the way in Mum’s office. The problem now is that as I’m have real problems with hearing, I have no idea what is going on if I’m in there and it’s leaving me distressed. I’d rather not be in there at all, but things still don’t go well between me and Pebbles so in part it is about my own good. I’m happy kept apart. Besides, when I want a sleep it’s as comfy as anywhere else is.
Breakout
I did have a minor breakout from my crate yesterday. Mum had put me in there while she fed Pebbles and then let Pebbles back into the house without restriction as she thought I was safely out of the way. If Mum had closed my crate door properly I might have been. She didn’t. Only one of the two hooks was done up and I pushed my way out. This girl isn’t too old for a few tricks yet. Mind you, Mum did point out I was taking a big risk of hurting myself.
New location
I suggested moving my crate into the kitchen. That way I’d be at the heart of what was going on. Mum said that as Pebbles needed some time too, that wouldn’t be fair. We settled on the garden room. Our house is open plan from the kitchen to the garden room, but there is a dog gate between. There’s a risk that Pebbles will come and find me by climbing over the gate, but we’ll have to see. On the plus side, I will be able to see a lot more than I can now and it is one of my favourite rooms. Let’s see how it goes.
