Different priorities

Humans and dogs have different priorities. There’s Mum and Dad worrying about tidying the house and putting the vacuum cleaner round before my sisters come. Me? I’m more concerned about making sure my favourite toys and bones aren’t where my sisters will find them. Don’t get me wrong, as dogs go, I’m pretty good at sharing, but there are limits. I would hate anything to happen to any of Sloth, Hoppig, Duck or Moose for example. They have all been with me since puppyhood and whilst I might occasionally throw them around in a manner that alarms Mum, I wouldn’t want anyone else to do that.

Mind you, I tried throwing a cushion around yesterday and Mum wasn’t thrilled as it was one of hers. If she will leave it lying around, what can she expect? She seems to think it being on the settee does not count as leaving it lying around. I see it somewhat differently.

Photographs

I’ve asked Mum to take lots of photographs of the three of us. I wonder how alike we will look now we’re adults. At least none of us are in season at the moment, so it shouldn’t be a hormonal day. Oh can you imagine? If all three of us were hormonal it would be a nightmare. I think Raya has been spayed, so I guess she doesn’t have those problems anymore.

Mum has made sure the garden is reasonably ready too. She was never going to be able to get everything done that I’d asked her to, but at least she finished cutting the grass. There are still some apples on the orchard ground, but I thought maybe my sisters would like to try eating those with me. I do hope they are looking forward to this as much as I am. I simply love spending time with other dogs and there really is nothing better than those dogs being family.
