And chill
And chill. I didn’t think I’d be saying 21 degrees was a nice cool temperature, but views can change. If that‘s what it is for the next few days then I for one will be more than happy. Yes, I’ll remember to stay out of the direct sun, so I don’t get burnt. But apart from that I intend to pootle around the garden having an apple or two here and there while feeling comfortable. Pebbles has asked to be outside permanently – she’s that sort of dog. Mum has said she can be outside as long as Mum is there and she stays in the shade – and promises not to escape to next door. Mum really does have to do something about the fence as soon as she is well.
Doorstop
Until yesterday Mum had a doorstop that was in the shape of a Dachshund. It wasn’t realistic, so didn’t have either me or Pebbles fooled. I say ‘until yesterday’ as Pebbles adopted it as a toy when Mum wasn’t looking. As so often happens, Mum heard a noise that didn’t sound quite right, so went to investigate. Yet again we are into a case of ‘shaken soft toy syndrome’. The doorstop has not come off well. Mum did gather up all his stuffing, but his body may have been mortally wounded. Mum is either going to have to make him a winter coat to replace his missing skin, or give up as a bad job.
Bunting
Mum is ridiculously excited about the arrival of some bunting today. She is busy planning her big birthday party which is now less than two months away. It’s leading to some strange behaviours. I Just hope Mum isn’t expecting me to go up any ladders to help her put it up!
