A wonderful cuddle
The news of the week is that Mum had a wonderful cuddle with Pebbles. Now, I know that might not sound much to you, but in a few days time Pebbles will be eleven months old and this was her very first proper cuddle session. Until now, Pebbles has not been able to stop herself moving for long enough to be cuddled when she is indoors. She has sat at Mum’s feet outdoors and allowed Mum a brief time of cuddling, but never indoors. Indoors she has insisted on having a chew in order to stay still for even five minutes. Otherwise, she spends her time bouncing from chair to chair.
The medication may be working
Mum thinks it’s because Pebbles’ medication is starting to work. Mum sat in my favourite chair in the hall and Pebbles climbed up onto her knee. Pebbles didn’t lie down and did stay on the alert, but for about twenty minutes she snuggled up to Mum and enjoyed being stroked and cuddled. She even moved Mum’s hand back to where she wanted it when Mum stopped. Mum was so happy that she was nearly in tears.
My hydrotherapy
I had my hydrotherapy yesterday and did really well. I got myself into a much better rhythm on the treadmill and just plodded away. I’d done the number of minutes I’ve done in the past really easily so my hydrotherapist asked if I’d like to do an extra minute and I surprised myself by saying yes. I slept really well once we got home, but I think it will have done me good.
I don’t suppose I’ll keep increasing, but I might ask to go a little faster next time. I’ll have rebuilt my muscles before you know it.
Love and licks
