Explaining Crufts

I tried explaining Crufts to Pebbles yesterday. She has never been to any dog show, so has no idea what goes on. I was trying to tell her about how you walk around a ring and a judge looks you over. It’s bit like a beauty parade, except they judge you against a standard rather than just their personal preference – or at least they’re supposed to. Pebbles didn’t think she would like it very much, although when I showed her mine and Shadow’s rosettes she thought they might look pretty next to her bed.

Discover Dogs

Then I tried explaining about Discover Dogs and how it’s an opportunity for lots of members of the public to meet our breed – as well as 200 others. Pebbles thought she might like that very much, but all I could think was how much chaos she could create. I only have to think about her rearranging the vet’s waiting room to realise just how much damage Pebbles could do to the stands at Discover Dogs. I don’t think the ones where the dogs are would be the biggest problem. My concern would be any stand selling dog toys or dog treats. They wouldn’t know what had hit them.

Anyway, she won’t be going – at least not this year. Maybe when she’s a little more grown up things might be different. I wouldn’t wreck things, I’d just bark more than is good for anyone around me – (in a 3 mile radius).

How many paws?

I had another play with ChatGPT yesterday, but it couldn’t quite get the hang of what I wanted. I like my gardening picture so much but wanted one of me working in the greenhouse. The picture would have been fine if it hadn’t given me six legs!

Love and licks
