Plastered in mud – Wednesday 11th February

Plastered in mud

Mum came back from training with Pebbles yesterday completely plastered in mud. Pebbles had spent some of her time doing commando crawl through the mud and other time rolling in it. However, it looked as though Mum had done much the same. According to Mum, it was entirely due to Pebbles jumping all over her. I had my suspicions that might not be the whole story.

Mum didn’t bother changing before taking me swimming. I was at pains to make sure my hydrotherapist knew that I was in no way responsible for how Mum looked. The mud, rather than the mismatched clothing – but frankly I wouldn’t want to take the blame for either.

Cutting the grass

How do you go about cutting the grass when it won’t stop raining? Mum says the grass shouldn’t really be growing at the moment, but it seems to be shooting up. It’s got so long that when I squat down to go to the toilet I’m getting a very wet bottom and it tickles. I asked Mum to get the mower out. But she says there is no chance of that with it being so wet. To be honest, it would help if she could just cut a small area for me to go to the toilet, but I don’t think even that’s going to happen. Pebbles sometimes just pees on the path, but I couldn’t possibly think of doing that deliberately, it’s just not how I was brought up.

I like to think the rain might stop soon. But then, I like to think that I’m about to win a free lifetime supply of Bonios and that Pebbles will become a reformed character. I guess some things are just not going to happen – at least not this week.

Love and licks
