The crate move
Some aspects of the crate move went better than others. Mum emptied everything out of my crate and then vacuumed all my crumbs. You might think that was a good thing, but those biscuit crumbs could have come in handy if I’d felt peckish. Having told me all my bedding needed to go through the wash, Mum put it in a pile ready. Unfortunately, Pebbles didn’t read the memo. She ran off with it piece by piece and shook all the dirt off over the hall floor. Mum was furious. I think she was cross with herself for not seeing the likely outcome of where she’d left it.
Pebbles’ reaction
To begin with Pebbles was a bit over-excited by the change. She was jumping up and down wanting to come into the garden room to investigate. Mum gently but firmly explained that would not be happening. Surprisingly, Pebbles accepted what Mum said.
As for me, I’m much happier. Where my crate is now not only can I see more of what is going on, but it’s also way cooler. Seeing what’s happening is all the more important as my hearing is very patchy. I can hear some sounds but not others and it gets very confusing. Of course, I still grumble if I start to feel a little peckish or if I want to join in the fun, but so far I haven’t barked incessantly. There is a good chance that this is going to work.
Off to training
Pebbles is off to training this morning, so I have a couple of hours to relax. Dad’s around, so I’m going to sit with him while he does some work. My perfect sort of morning really. It’s too hot to be outside, so a nice cool spot indoors with Dad all to myself is a good way to pass the time.
