Manic Dogs

A weekend in kennels together and both Pebbles and I have come home as slightly manic dogs but in different ways. I absolutely don’t want anything to do with Pebbles and am prepared to bark that very loudly at every opportunity. Mum is not appreciating what I’m saying – or more to the point didn’t want to be deafened. Pebbles has come home having forgotten all her manners. She is teething and is back to being Bitey McBiteface and Mum is absolutely fed up. Taking Pebbles to the dog field was supposed to be a fun thing and a time for training. By the time they came home they weren’t talking to each other. Pebbles was well and truly in the doghouse and was given a timeout to calm down.

Training class

Today Mum will be taking Pebbles to her training class. If Pebbles behaves half as badly as she did yesterday morning then I think Mum will be in a bad mood when she comes home. Given that in between the manic behaviour, Pebbles can be such a lovely girl and butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth, Mum says she just can’t wait for her to get through the teething phase. Mind you, with ‘the terrible twos’ equivalent just ahead of us, I don’t fancy her chances.

Family snuggle

I think what we all need is a family snuggle on the settee, but we need Dad home first. It’s going to take a dog to human ratio of one to one for us all to feel we have had enough attention. Pebbles adores Dad, so I’m hoping that it will mean she leaves Mum to me, which is just the way I like it.

Mum says we need to find some dogs to sympathetically put Pebbles in her place, but that’s easier said than done. I guess she’ll grow up eventually.

Love and woofs
