I did it
I did it. I managed the big circular walk around the village, which means walking by the side of the road without pavements for some of the way. Mum was concerned as I get very jumpy around traffic, so she hasn’t wanted to cause me too much stress. We have been trying to build up what I will tolerate and that combined with cheese proved to be a very big help. Oh, being better at walking to heel was helpful too. Maybe the obedience side of my training isn’t quite so pointless.
When a van or little bus went past, I was much more concerned and needed to stop and wait for it to go by. With cars I was able to keep walking and was much less worried. Mum said she was really proud of me at the end and gave me some extra cheese.
Trees
The bigger tree Mum ordered is arriving tomorrow, which is exciting. Then we have to dig a hole big enough to plant it in. I told you that Mum bought some dwarf conifers too. She bought six. A friend asked what they were called, but Mum couldn’t remember the names. Anyway, another friend said they should be Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy and Dopey. That of course would be seven. You’re not going to believe this. Mum actually went to the garden centre and has bought another dwarf conifer so that we do have seven. She has also bought some little signs to go next to them with their names on. She says the last one must be Dopey. I really do worry about my humans. Mum is by far the worst, but even Dad thought it was a good idea. There really is no hope.
